कोणत्याही वेबसाईट, ब्लॉग किंवा संगणकावर बनवलेल्या कोणत्याही डॉक्युमेंट्समध्ये फॉंट्सना अनन्यसाधारण महत्त्व असते. गुगल, याहु किंवा रेडीफ्.कॉम सारख्या साईट्सच्या लोगो मध्ये वापरलेले फाँट्सच आज त्यांची ओळख बनले आहेत. माझ्यासारख्या कलासक्त माणसासाठी विविध फाँट्स शोधणे हा रोजच्याच कामाचा भाग आहे. अशाच माझ्या शोधात मला सापडली आहे दाफाँट्.कॉम (dafont.com) ही साईट. या साईटवरुन हजारो स्टायलीश फाँट्स मोफत डाउनलोड करता येतात.
दाफाँटच्या काही विशेष सुविधा -
१. दाफाँट्स मध्ये हजारो विविध फाँट्समधुन तुम्हाला फाँट्स निवडता येतात. मुख्य म्हणजे विविध प्रकारच्या गटांमध्ये हे फाँट्स विभागले आहेत त्यामुळे आपल्या आवडीची फॉंट स्टाइल शोधणे सोपे जाते.
२. वैयक्तीक तसेच व्यावसायीक अशा दोन्ही प्रकारच्या वापरासाठी खुले असणारे भरपुर फाँट्स येथे उपल्ब्ध आहेत.
३. फाँट्सच्या सोबत येथे अनेक प्रकारची चित्रे मोफत डाउनलोड करण्यासाठी उपलब्ध आहेत. या चित्रांच्या तसेच फाँट्सच्या सहाय्याने लोगो डीझाइन करणे आतीशय सोपे आहे.
४. युजर्स म्हणजे ही साईट वापरणारे तुम्ही-आम्ही देखील आपले फाँट्स येथे अपलोड करु शकतो.
५. आपले नाव किंवा इतर मजकुर लिहुन तो दीलेल्या सर्व फाँट्समध्ये कसा दीसतो ते पाहण्याची देखील येथे सोय आहे. त्यामुळे फाँट डाउनलोड करण्याआधी कसा दीसतो ते पाहता येइल.
खाली मी माझ्या नावासाठी काही कॅलीग्राफी प्रकारातील फाँट्स वापरले आहेत. ते पाहुन तुम्हाला या साईटच्या उपयुक्ततेचा अंदाज येइलच.

Fonts has really become a form of art these days.For an artistic person like me , looking for different font styles is a regular activity. In my search for designer fonts I stumbled upon a dafont, a site which offers thousands of designer fonts for FREE! Yes, most of the fonts on dafont can be downloaded absolutly free.
There are dozens of sites on the Web offering font downloads. But very few of them are worth a visit. Dafont is one of the 'must bookmarked' site.

5. First time ever in any website, I have seen information about font authors.

7. Users can feed in their text and check it out with different fonts before downloading a font file.
8. Fonts are available for both Mac and windows systems.
